The Beautiful Hands Of A Priest Prayer
The beautiful hands of a priest.
The beautiful hands of a priest prayer. When we are tempted and wander. Beautiful Catholic environment with my mother and father instilling in us the Catholic faith a faith which led to one of their sons becoming a priest the unworthy vessel that I truly am. At the altar each day we behold them and the hands of a king on his throne.
My heartfelt gratitude to my dear mother. We need them again at its close. We need them in lifes early morning We need them again at its close.
Are not equal to them in their greatness. To pathways of shame and of sin. Made in Italy Packaged in cellophane.
Their dignity stands all alone. Around 1963 Father Crowley of Dunsallagh gave the words of this poem to Tom Linehan and the Clare singer put a tune to it and recorded it in a song. 25 x 45 64mm x 114mm 2-12 x 4-12.
We feel their warm clasp of true friendship. And the hands that make us pure as angels. At the altar each day we behold them And the hands of a king on his throne Are not equal.
